Kate
Banks is a Kripalu certified yoga teacher whose heartfelt teaching grows out of her personal practice of many years. Kate creatively blends vinyasa yoga with mindfulness, offering students the opportunity to explore what it is to be aware of the breath, to be fully present in the body and to awaken to the rise and fall of sensation, feeling and experience. A variety of vinyasa and meditation teachers inspire Kate’s continued study.
Sharon
Coleman has practiced mindfulness
for over 15 years and is an ordained member of Thich Nhat Hanh’s
Order of Interbeing. The peace and power of meditation and the Buddhist
teachings on compassion and freedom have inspired her own growth

Peter
Elliston received his 200
hour Yoga Teacher Certification from Yoga Center Amherst and continues
to work toward his 500 hour certification. In addition he has studied
with master teacher Tias Little, and has taken classes and workshops
at yoga centers worldwide. Peter has been teaching for 7 years.
Mark
Gerow is
the founder/creator of Lunarhythms Yoga™, and comes from a
diverse background. From survival instructor in the U.S. Air Force
to actor in New York City, his unique blend of flowing (vinyasa)
yoga combines various styles and incorporates elements to include
chakras, ayurveda, yoga therapy, and organic movement. He also specializes
and offers private sessions in Yoga Therapy, Ayurvedic Yoga consultations

Ani
Nadler Grosser, RYT,
has been practicing and studying yoga for 25 years in many traditions,
including Sivananda, Iyengar, and Embodyoga with Patty Townsend
at Yoga Center Amherst. Ani studied restorative yoga with Judith
Lasater, author of Relax and Renew, and has mastered the
art of teaching this healing practice. Chakra Yoga is another passion
of Ani's. She completed Advanced Training in the Chakras, a holistic
system for personal development, with Anodea Judith, author of Wheels

Uma
Elizabeth McNeill,
first studied yoga at the Jivamukti Yoga
center in 1990. A year later, she went to India to get her Sivananda
Yoga Teachers’ Training Certification in Neyyar Dam, Kerala, and
Astanga Yoga training with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in Mysore. She has
since studied with a variety of teachers in the United States and
India, most notably, within the tradition of T.K.V. Desikachar. Uma
runs the Berkshire Breathing Project in Great Barrington,
Massachusetts where she teaches assisted self-practice and does
therapeutic yoga work. The Berkshire location also offers a variety
of yoga, movement, wellness, and therapeutic massage services.
Uma’s teaching method was the original inspiration for The
Breathing Project’s Madras-style program. Uma and Leslie Kaminoff
live together in Great Barrington with their 2 children. She is also
an avid knitter.
Leslie Nelson is a certified Kripalu yoga instructor with additional certifications in Alexander Technique, Gyrotonic®, and Pilates mat work. Her classes combine a vinyasa flow style with an emphasis on alignment and body awareness. She was co-founder and director of the Soho Sanctuary Studio and Spa in New York before moving to the Berkshires and thereafter worked as a movement therapist at Canyon Ranch. For the past 20 years she has taught private yoga and fitness classes. 413-329-3541.
Deborah
Salem founder of Yoga Great Barrington, has been
practicing and studying Yoga for over thirty years. She has 400+
teacher training hours from various teachers and schools including

Amy
Webb is an ongoing student
of the 8-limbed system of Ashtanga Yoga and Vipassana Meditation.
Her primary teacher is Richard Freeman. Amy has spent over 1000
hours in formal trainings plus 3 years in apprenticeships teaching
Ashtanga. A dedicated practitioner since 1997, Amy began teaching
in 2001. She has 10 years’ experience in Therapeutic and Wilderness
Guiding, and holds a degree in Art and Literature. Amy is the director

Connie
Wilson is a Kripalu certified teacher who has been teaching for the past 8 years. She currently teaches at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, and is the founder of Yoga Within, bringing yoga to workplace settings throughout Southern Berkshire County. Her priority is helping students individualize and deepen their experience of all aspects of yoga.
